New York Connection
New York Connection | March 23, 2012
The purpose of the New York Connection is to assist undergraduate students with their career planning by:
- Gathering information regarding professional life in New York City
- Exploring interests, values, and skills and connecting them to the workforce
- Hearing real-life accounts of "life at work"
- Exposing students to a variety of employers in the communication and arts fields
- Learning about the career paths and responsibilities of Emerson College alumni
- Allowing for formal and informal conversations and networking between students and alumni
Buses will leave for New York at 7:00 am and will leave New York to return to Boston by 8:30 pm.
Costs for this trip will be $50.00 (NONREFUNDABLE AFTER MONDAY, MARCH 19). Payment must be submitted upon registration by credit card.

There will be five tracks:
- Media: Rachel Ray Show and United Stations Radio
- Broadcast Journalism: 48 Hours/CBS Radio and NY1
- Publishing: Simon & Schuster and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
- Theatre: Roundabout Theatre Company and Panel Discussion
- Marketing and Advertising: Likeable Media and BBDO
Registration for the trip will NOT be completed until Career Services receives your Risk and Release Form and your Transportation Waiver by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 14.
