Post-Graduation Survey: Graduate (June 2013)

Summary:
The post-graduation survey was distributed to 393 graduate degree recipients from the class of 2013.

  • 26.7% (105) responded to the survey
  • Out of those 26.7% (105) who responded to the survey, 39.0% (41) respondents indicated having post-graduation plans

Breakdown of Post-Graduation Plans:

  • 82.9% (34) of the 41 respondents with post-graduation plans found employment
  • 9.8% (4) of the 41 respondents with post-graduation plans reported plans to participate in a post-graduation internship.
  • 7.3 % (3) of the 41 respondents with post-graduation plans reported enrolling in graduate or professional school or other training program

Employment Related to Major:

  • 88.2% (30) of the 34 respondents that indicated employment as their post-graduation plan stated their job is related to their major
  • 5.9% (2) of the 34 respondents that indicated employment as their post-graduation plan did not respond to whether their job was related to their major
  • 5.9% (2) of the 34 respondents that indicated employment as their post-graduation plan stated that their job was not related to their major
  • 50.0% (17) of the 34 respondents who are employed indicated participating in an internship while at Emerson College

  • 23.5% (8) Networked with current employer, grad student worked throughout course of studies
