Bright Lights: Listen and Harmony with director Jae Williams

Jae Williams is an award winning writer, director and philanthropist from Boston, MA. He is an Emerson College graduate where he attained a BA in media production. He is the founder of Forever Ink Productions which produces short films, commercial and PSA's and it also produces the annual charity event Celebration of the Arts Red Carpet Experience and has developed other projects including the soon to be launched Forever Ink Clothing and the Forever Ink Foundation that will provide arts education and mentorship programs for youth in the urban community.

A coming of age tale about a 7 year old girl Sanyia expressing her experiences through a diary alone in her room. The story fast forwards 10 years and we see the little girl now in a psychiatrist office at the age of 17. The story travels back and forth between the young Saniya and the teenage version of her as she reminisces about her family, friends, and life experience. In the process learn of her issues with post partum depression as well as the many issues that a mixed race female deals with and the hardships that follow when these issues are unspoken.

Sophia, An illiterate 18-year-old middle school drop out leaves an abusive home and is left to fend for herself on the streets. In the process she expresses her love and gift of music that changes her life forever.
