Emergency Evacuation Plans
The Emerson College Emergency Evacuation Plans have been prepared to inform building occupants and users of emergency procedures that may save lives in an emergency situation. College buildings are equipped with modern life-safety systems, however, that does not necessarily eliminate the possibility of a fire or other emergency occurring. The Emergency Evacuation Plan provides a system for protection of life and property in the event of a fire, explosion or other emergency requiring building evacuation. Occupants and users should become familiar with the contents of the plans and become aware of the procedures for an orderly evacuation in the event of an emergency. An Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP) combined with occupant familiarity with a building minimizes threats to life and property. These plans apply to all emergencies where occupants may need to evacuate the building for personal safety.
