Performing Arts Faculty
| Bethany Nelson Part Time Faculty (2000) B.S., Emerson College; M.Ed., Harvard University Ms. Nelson teaches in the area of theatre education, and supervises the field work of students pursuing Massachusetts licensure as teachers of Communication and Performing Arts. She established and runs the Emerson Urban Outreach Program in the Boston Public Schools, and serves as a drama specialist and curriculum consultant in school systems throughout the Greater Boston area. She specializes in the uses of drama and theatre across the curriculum, and conducts frequent workshops for teachers, students, museum educators, and youth theatre professionals. She serves on the Board of Directors of Sleepy Lion Theatre in Topsfield, MA, and consults with them as a playwright and director. |
