Engaging with Emerson
Parents Fund
Parents support their students in myriad ways, but there are always more ways to get involved. By making a gift and by volunteering your time to the Parents Fund, you are directly improving the quality of your student’s experience at Emerson.
Every year, Emerson faces unanticipated challenges and opportunities and relies on a consistent stream of unrestricted philanthropic dollars to seize those opportunities to improve the student experience. College funds such as the Parents Fund encourage the collaboration of the Emerson community to help the College reach its full potential.
Volunteering for the Parents Fund is another great way to make an impact. Parents can help raise money, organize events, speak on campus, or act as a mentor to students. Whatever your preference, we welcome your energy and involvement with the Parents Fund!

Creating Opportunity for Deserving Students
PLC Scholars Program
The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) Scholars Program gives Emerson undergraduate parents the opportunity to provide critically needed financial support to a current student who would otherwise be unable to attend Emerson.
Your gift of $10,000—which can be made as a single payment or over four years—will:
- Allow a promising student of limited financial means to emerge as a leader of tomorrow.
- Play a critical role in securing the socioeconomic diversity of Emerson, and a balanced experience for all Emerson students, who benefit from living with—and learning from—individuals of varied backgrounds.
- Give the lifelong gift of self-expression to a talented individual in need. Emerson teaches students of communication and the arts how to creatively and effectively express themselves; the PLC Scholars Program helps deserving individuals receive this gift.
- Be deeply rewarding on a personal level. Donors have the opportunity to be in touch with the recipient of their gift and learn about his or her personal and academic progress.

“Establishing a scholarship at Emerson is a meaningful way to make a tangible difference in someone else’s life. It gives talented, deserving students the opportunity to pursue their dreams no matter their financial circumstances. It also helps to ensure that Emerson remains a world-class institution that truly reflects the diversity in our society.” |
If you would like to know the satisfaction of enabling a young person to achieve a level of success that would otherwise be beyond his or her reach—and to experience the benefits of your gift first-hand—we hope you’ll take the opportunity to learn more about the PLC Scholars Program.
