Announcing the Parents Annual Fund Scholarship Campaign
Emerson College offers a distinctive, powerful experience, combining a quality liberal arts education with hands-on training in communication and the arts. Taught and challenged by dynamic faculty members and active practitioners in state-of-the-art facilities, our students are among the most creative and driven young minds in the country. Emerson boasts an impressive list of alumni that includes entrepreneurs, actors, published authors, diplomats, and politicians who maintain their ties to Emerson College through mentoring and hiring fellow Emersonians.
The cost of education is an enormous burden on students and their parents. Many students rely on a combination of loans, grants, scholarships, and part-time work to help cover the cost of the Emerson experience. Scholarships are one of the most crucial sources of funding for Emerson because they do not require repayment and reduce overall indebtedness.
The Emerson Parents Annual Fund Scholarship Campaign is a new initiative of the Parents Leadership Council (PLC) proposed by PLC Co-Chairs, Sheila Tucke P’15 and Tom Ong P’11 & P’14. Sheila and Tom are counting on your to support raise $200,000 for scholarship by June 30, 2013. These funds will be put to immediate use, providing financial assistance to students this coming fall!
What better investment can any of us make than supporting the hopes and dreams of a young person? For students who cannot afford an Emerson education, the future can look unsettled. You will make a life-changing difference with your gift to scholarship aid. Please support the Parents Annual Fund Scholarship Campaign. The entire Emerson community will benefit from your participation!

An inside look at giving to scholarship from Jane Nunes and Frank Campolo who supported a $10,000 scholarship at Emerson College.
Neither of us would have made it through our undergraduate or graduate level degrees without the support of scholarships. We’re both first generation college graduates, and we were ready to support the next generation out of appreciation for the opportunities we were given. Emerson had such a profound impact on our sons. The scholarship was our way of honoring those who supported our education.

Why give to scholarship?
A university education costs more than tuition provides. We wanted to do something to give back and hopefully make a difference in the life of a creative student at Emerson by contributing to the Parents Annual Fund Scholarship Campaign. It is gratifying to know that by helping to provide for scholarships at Emerson College, you can open doors for students that will hopefully offer opportunities that change their lives.
