WELCOME PARENTS:
Emerson invites you to participate in the life of the College and organizes a number of events each year that are of particular interest to parents as well as students. These include fall and winter orientations for new students, a Family Weekend in October and the annual Commencement exercises in May.
At this year's Commencement exercises Emerson will award 750 undergraduate and 325 graduate degrees on May 19. Honorary degrees will be presented to MTV Networks Entertainment CEO and Emerson alumnus Doug Herzog, film critic Andrew Sarris, sociologist Charles Willie and author Rebecca Newberger Goldstein. Herzog will deliver the undergraduate address, and Goldstein will address the graduate commencement. For more Commencement information visit the Commencement homepage.
Parents may also be interested in the hundreds of regularly scheduled student events that are held on campus throughout the year. These can be accessed from the e-campus web portal for students, faculty and staff.
