Policy for Repeating a Course
Students who fail a course may repeat the course in an attempt to receive a passing grade. Both courses, and the grades received, are part of the student's permanent record and affect the student's cumulative grade point average. Students only receive credit once for a given course. Exceptions apply to certain creative writing classes offered through the Writing, Literature and Publishing department, which may be repeated once for credit if taken from different instructors. Exceptions also apply to certain Dance and Applied Music courses offered through the Department of Performing Arts.
