    10/22/12
    5:45 pm - 9:00 pm
    Paramount Center
    Bright Family Screening Room

Come join us for a night devoted to the art of public speaking!

The Emerson Alumni Association and the Communication Studies Department are pleased to announce a special screening of SPEAK—a documentary film about the fear of public speaking and the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking—co-directed by Emerson alumnus Brian Weidling '96.

SPEAK follows the journey of the Toastmasters World Championship finalists as they conquer the fear of public speaking. Brian Weidling and co-director Paul Galichia travelled across North America, meeting people from every walk of life, and gathering their life stories to produce this documentary. The final project teaches us that everyone has a story that needs to be heard. SPEAK tells the stories of these individuals, but encourages you to find your voice and tell your story.

Brian Weidling will be attending the screening, participating in the Q&A and will also attend the meet and greet prior to the screening. This is an excellent opportunity for current Emerson students to meet with a successful alumnus, watch an engaging documentary, and find the courage to tell their own stories!"
