    Please join the Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies for a student panel focused on our design your own major program – the Individually Designed Interdisciplinary Program (IDIP). We will host a panel of current IDIP students as they share their experiences with the program and the opportunities it provides.

    An individually designed interdisciplinary program (IDIP) is a major program of study in a well-defined area of interest consisting of courses from two or more academic departments or from a department and the Institute. Students design an interdisciplinary major program in consultation with faculty members from the different departments where the coursework is based.

    The Center for Health & Wellness (CHW) will hold monthly immunization clinics for students needing to complete their pre-matriculation immunization requirements this semester. Flu shots will also be available while supply lasts.
    Fees for immunizations available at the CHW are provided below.

    The following immunizations/tests are available at the CHW.  Students with private insurance must pay in advance at the Student Services Center and bring receipt of payment to the CHW:

    • Hepatitis B (age 20+) $80/dose
    • Hepatitis B (through age 19) $40/dose
    • Measles/Mumps/ Rubella (MMR) $75/dose
    • TB (Tuberculosis) Skin test $15 –unable to perform test on Thursdays
    • Seasonal Influenza / Flu $30 Tdap (tetanus& whooping cough) $53 /dose

    • Varicella (Chickenpox Vaccine) is NOT available at the CHW -appointments to test for immunity may be scheduled.

    Call in advance for availability:

    • Meningococcal vaccine (must be ordered in advance at the CHW- you will be notified at your Emerson email address when the vaccine is available) $124
    • HPV- (Human PapillomaVirus)- contact CHW to order $150/ dose (not required for enrollment) If completing series bring verification of prior dose(s)

    FLU & HIGH RISK STUDENTS:
    The flu virus is hitting adolescents and young adults especially hard this season. Vaccine is recommended for all but is especially indicated for those with a chronic medical condition: diabetes, cancer/chemotherapy, asthma (requiring daily medication), those under age 19 on long term aspirin therapy, heart/valve problems, immune compromised, sickle cell/liver/kidney disease, and pregnant women or parent or primary caretaker to children under the age of 6, are encouraged to receive a flu shot as soon as possible.
