Worcester Telegram & Gazette spotlights Ryan Ansin '09

August 13, 2010
In May 2010, Ryan Ansin ’09 traveled with his nonprofit, Every Person Has a Story Productions (EPHAS), to Cambodia to conduct photography workshops. On August 11, EPHAS took its mission to Rwanda.
EPHAS is a nonprofit organization Ansin founded that focuses on teaching photography to people in developing countries. While in Rwanda, Ansin and his team will conduct workshops for 80 to 100 students. The students will document the installation of a clean water system that will service more than 250,000 people in the Gitwe area, to try and show the immediate and long-term health and cultural impacts clean water will bring to Gitwe’s residents.
Worcester Telegram & Gazette Reporter Lynne Klaft recently did a story on Ansin’s passion to raise awareness and help the people of these countries. “We hear about suicide bombings and atrocities on a daily basis, but it’s not the only things that are happening in the developing world,” Ansin told the Gazette.
