Two Emersonians nominated for Tonys

Sheryl Kaller ’82 will be one of the theater elite in the audience at Radio City Music Hall on June 13, anxiously awaiting those five special words, “And the Tony goes to…”

Kaller is nominated for a Tony for best director of the Broadway play Next Fall, which was also nominated for best play. Sixteen years ago, she made the choice to leave theater for motherhood. In 2005, she began to work her way back into the Broadway scene and now, at the age of 50, is nominated for her first Tony.

Betsy Morgan ’03 is also anxiously awaiting June 13. Morgan is a cast member in the musical A Little Night Music (featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones), which has been nominated for best musical revival.
