Trailer remembered in multiple media stories
January 11, 2013
Faculty member and beloved television personality Rex Trailer, was remembered in stories that ran in multiple news outlets including the Boston Globe, WBUR, and Associated Press.
An excerpt from alumnus and WBUR reporter/anchor Steve Brown:
Rex galloped into town on his horse Goldrush in 1956, and for nearly 20 years as the host of “Boomtown,” he was a familiar face on console TVs from Portsmouth to Provincetown, Scituate to Shrewsbury, and every city and town in between. This was the time when kid-show hosts on local TV were larger-than-life figures.
Read, watch, and listen to memories of Rex Trailer: WBUR, WBZ, NECN, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Patriot Ledger, and MPR News.
