Srinivas's latest book highlighted in LA Weekly
November 15, 2012
Associate Professor of Communication Studies Tulasi Srinivas’s latest book, Curried Cultures, which she co-edited with Assistant Professor of Nutrition/Food Studies at NYU Krishnendu Ray, was chosen by LA Weekly as one of the year’s best new food studies books. The book is a collection of essays exploring food culture in South Asia from the Colonial Period to today. Calling the book a “curry mouthful of academic proportions,” LA Weekly describes how it delves into the influence of Indian cuisine in Britain, New York City, and South Asian café culture.
