Serizawa, MFA '01, profiled by Antioch Review

Asako Serizawa, MFA ’01, was recently interviewed by Antioch Review about her story, “The Visitor,” which won the O. Henry Prize Award last year. The prize is one of the most prestigious awards for short fiction.

“The Visitor” takes place in Japan after World War II and focuses on a young man, a former soldier, who visits the parents of someone he knew in war. Serizawa is a graduate of Emerson’s Writing, Literature and Publishing Department.
