April 01, 2013

Marketing Communication faculty member David Gerzof Richard appeared on Fox 25 to discuss the demise of email and to explain why LinkedIn recently emailed 20 million of its users to inform them that they’re in the top 10 percent of most-viewed profiles on the site. Gerzof Richard said the quantity of email spam is driving people to use Facebook and Twitter messaging. As for LinkedIn, he said the mass email was an effective marketing strategy for the company. “They’ve just told the world a zillion times over that LinkedIn is relevant,” he said.
