    ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage will launch curated artistic programming this week for the Paramount Center’s LED windows on the façade of 559 Washington Street.

    Jim Taylor, the screenwriter of the Academy Award-winning film Sideways and several other well-known films, is Emerson’s latest Jane and Terry Semel Chair in Screenwriting. A special sneak preview screening for the Emerson community of his latest film The Descendants will take place Thursday (November 17).

    Daniel Tobin, former Interim Dean of the School of the Arts at Emerson, has published a new book, Awake in America: On Irish American Poetry (University of Notre Dame Press). The book examines Irish American culture through its poets.

    Alexander Freeman ’14 was a featured speaker recently at the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State (CP of NYS) Annual Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York.
