  • Emersonians celebrate public diplomacy project

    Students, faculty, and alumni of Emerson College met with their counterparts in the beachside community of Rosarito, Mexico, recently, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of an ongoing public diplomacy project in the wake of the Mexican drug cartel crisis.

    Isabel Thottam ’13 has been named a 2012 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact for her campus leadership and commitment to community service.

    Students, faculty, and staff came together last week to discuss the Trayvon Martin case: the implications it’s had on race relations nationally, how it relates to race relations at Emerson, and the media’s coverage of the case and other issues of race.

    Writing, Literature and Publishing Professor Pablo Medina has been named a 2012 Guggenheim Fellow in poetry by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
