    Pelton, Emersonians march in Pride Parade

    Nearly 90 members of the Emerson community, including President Lee Pelton, marched on June 13 in the Boston Pride Parade—marking the first time a group of Emerson students, faculty, staff, and alumni marched together in the annual parade.

    Two Emerson fraternity leaders will join Violence Prevention and Response (VPR) director Melanie Matson at the Conference on College Men from June 18-20, when the trio will lead a discussion on how fraternities can help prevent power-based interpersonal violence, including abusive relationships, stalking, sexual assault, and harassment.

    Emerson College has been named to the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, recognition for being a higher education institution that reflects the values of exemplary community service and achieving meaningful outcomes in its community.

    Space Opera to feature simultaneous performances in Boston, LA

    Every When At Once: A Space Opera is a modern, unique event that spans nine time zones and features three simultaneous performances at once. Loudon Stearns, MFA ’15, an associate professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, is the brainchild behind the space opera.

    'Crumbs' to premiere at LA Film Fest

    The film Crumbs, a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi romance executive produced by Sergio Uguet de Resayre ‘02, premieres at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 14. Uguet de Resayre, who also works as the broadcast operations manager at Fox International Channels for the Nordic and Baltic countries, has written, produced and directed several short films. Crumbs marks his first feature film production.

    It was nearly two years ago when Jody Steel ’14 got a leg up when it came to her viral “leg art,” and now she is making huge strides—getting attention on Buzzfeed and performing a live drawing at a TED Talks event in Culver City, California, on June 13.

    A stained glass recreation of "The Wall," the beloved landmark outside Emerson's former Beacon Street campus, was on display in the College's Iwasaki Library over 2015 Alumni Weekend.
