Rebecca Meyers named director of film programs
Starting this fall, Emerson’s new 170–seat Bright Family Screening Room at the Paramount Center will be programmed by Rebecca Meyers. The Paramount Center also houses the 590-seat main Theatre and the 150-seat Black Box Theatre.

Jay Cocks named Semel Chair in Screenwriting
Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Jay Cocks, whose work includes Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ, The Age of Innocence, Gangs of New York, and Kathryn Bigelow's Strange Days, has been named Emerson’s Jane and Terry Semel Chair in Screenwriting for the Fall 2010 semester.
