WLP graduate student receives Atlantic magazine honors

Sebastian Stockman, an MFA student in the Writing, Literature and Publishing Department, received an honorable mention in the poetry category of the Atlantic’s annual Student Writing Contest. Honorable mention prize winners are not only rewarded with national exposure of their work, but also receive a cash prize. Stockman’s poem is featured on page 93 of the magazine’s May 2011 issue.
Stockman is the nonfiction editor of the Emerson publication Redivider. He previously covered sports news for both The Daily Pennsylvanian and for Keene Publications, and received his undergraduate degree from Harvard Extension School.
