Associate Professor William Donoghue has taken the helm in the Department of Writing, Literature and Publishing, said Daniel Tobin, Interim Dean of the School of the Arts. Professor Steve Yarbrough had been interim WLP chair.
“As associate chair, Bill Donoghue did an excellent job bringing the department forward, particularly in his role presiding over the outcomes assessments,” said Tobin, referring to the process of measuring teaching and learning in the department. “In his new role, he will offer seasoned leadership for the next couple of years.”
Donoghue has agreed to lead the department until mid-2012, according to Tobin.
