Rice named Rookie of the Week

For the third time in only five weeks, Emerson women’s volleyball player Kat Rice has been honored as the GNAC’s Co-Rookie of the Week for her efforts last week against Roger Williams, Pine Manor, and Norwich. The freshman had 22 kills on the week, for a .362 attack percentage, and four service aces. While her offensive efforts helped power the Lions, it was Rice’s defense that again made the difference for Emerson with three solo blocks and six assists to help lead Emerson over Pine Manor and Norwich to remain undefeated in GNAC play.
