Emerson President Lee Pelton has begun blogging for the popular news website The Huffington Post.
In his first blog entry, posted December 28, 2012, Pelton describes his initiative to rally academic communities to help the nation explore, explain, and change our violent gun culture in the wake of the tragic shooting of children and teachers in Newtown, Connecticut.
Pelton intends to contribute posts on a regular basis on a wide range of issues including social justice, fairness and equality; media, communication, and the arts; and innovation in higher education. Huffington Post is one of the most-viewed news websites in the United States, with more than 36 million unique visitors each month.
