Moment of silence for marathon victims
April 24, 2013
Emerson students, faculty and staff joined in a moment of silence at the Bordy Theater on April 22 to remember the victims of the Boston Marathon attacks.
The Emerson community joined the city and the nation in gathering for a moment of silence at 2:50 pm on April 22 to remember the victims of the Boston Marathon attacks.
That moment signified one week after two bombs exploded near the Boylston Street finish line, killing three and injuring well over 200, including eight Emerson students who suffered minor injuries.
Two Emerson students, Nick Reynolds ’14 and Chris Dobens ’16, created and began selling “Boston Strong” T-shirts that have raised more than $500,000 for The One Fund, which was set up by Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to benefit the marathon victims.
