Christina Marin, assistant professor of Performing Arts, received the 2012-2013 Graduate Student Association Outstanding Faculty Member Award earlier this month.
“You were ultimately selected for your dedication and commitment to your students and the Emerson community,” the GSA Executive Council wrote in a letter to Marin, adding that she was nominated by multiple students. “You have made a significant impact on your students, and we are happy to award you.”
“I am truly honored to receive this award because it came directly from the students,” Marin said. “I have found that students are the heart of Emerson and I am grateful to have the experience of working with such talented individuals.”
Marin said she became close with many graduate students this year after she developed several new graduate-level courses in Theatre Education.
