Latina/o Theatre Commons held at Emerson

On November 1 and 2, 2013, in the Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theater at Emerson, more than 75 members of the Latina/o theatre community gathered for the Latina/o Theatre Commons, a new national advocacy initiative, in conjunction with HowlRound: A Center for the Theater Commons and ArtsEmerson, to discuss strategies to advance the state of Latina/o theatre. The two-day event ended with a costumed celebration of The Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos). HowlRound is committed to modeling a commons-based approach to advancing the health and impact of not-for-profit theatre. (Photos by Kelsey Davis ’14)
