February 10, 2014
Liss LaFleur, MFA ’14, was recently one of five graduate students nationwide awarded the College Art Association’s Professional Development Fellowship, which has provided her with a $5,000 grant to help with various aspects of her work, whether it be for job-search expenses or purchasing materials.

CAA believes a grant of this kind, without contingencies, can best facilitate the transition between graduate school and professional careers.
Earlier this month, LaFleur won the Filmgate Interactive and POV Digital Hackathon in Miami, which was an event that challenged filmmakers and programmers to reimagine and define the documentary to make it interactive for the Internet age.
LaFleur will attend the CAA Conference in Chicago this week.
