Huret, MA '69, honored by World Learning

Emerson Trustee Judy Huret, MA ’69, will be honored next month at the World Learning Social Innovation Summit in San Francisco.
World Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing leadership through education, exchange, and development programs in more than 60 countries.
Huret, an Emerson Trustee since 2001, and vice chairman of investment firm Huret, Rothenberg and Co., has a career that has encompassed management consulting, private investing, and work in the field of communication disorders.
“Ms. Huret’s work embodies the mission of World Learning: to promote just global societies, advance leadership, empower people, and strengthen institutions though education, exchange, and development programs,” read a letter from World Learning board chairs Rosamond Delori and Virginia Loeb.
The June 5 summit will include a dinner honoring Huret for her work. The organization will also introduce the new Advancing Leaders Fellowship program, which includes a $10,000 grant and customized education program for five young social entrepreneurs to accelerate their social innovation projects.
Huret is former vice chair of the World Learning board; a committee member and former board member of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco; chair of the Human Resources Advisory Committee of the Cornell University Council; and vice chair of the Smithsonian National Board.
