Asim will judge National Book Awards

Associate Professor Jabari Asim, of the Department of Writing, Literature and Publishing, has been named a judge for the 2013 National Book Awards by the National Book Foundation.
Asim, who will be judging the work of nonfiction nominees, is the author of The N Word and What Obama Means. For many years, he was a book reviewer and columnist for the Washington Post.
