The Boston Film Festival has become one of the cultural events that annually launches the fall film season. In 2000, some 50 feature films had their debut in Boston during a ten day period.

This is a festival dedicated to rewarding artists for their individual talents and for their creative expression through the medium of film. The festival strives to bring together in Boston local, national and international filmmakers by promoting the world’s most artistic and creative independent and experimental films.

The Boston Jewish Film Festival presents the best contemporary films from around the world on Jewish themes at its annual Festival and throughout the year. The Boston Latino International Film Festival (BLIFF) aims to present the latest films produced by Latinos and the latest films dealing pertaining to social issues of Latino communities in the US and Latin America. The festival also focuses on alternative films with social content from Latin America in addition to films addressing with Latino issues in the United States.
