Integrated Marketing Communication (MA)
Beyond the Classroom
Integrated Marketing Communication professionals are in demand in today's market.
In fact, integrated marketing communication has been cited as a top concern of senior marketing executives, according to the Association of National Advertisers. Why? Dramatic changes in technology have resulted in more media choices than ever, both for consumers and for marketers. This means more opportunities for Integrated Marketing Communication professionals on the "client side," or in an agency or consultancy, to guide marketing communication strategies and plans.
Starting on your first day at Emerson, you will begin to build a strong network of peers and faculty of varied backgrounds and experience, which will lay the groundwork for internship opportunities throughout the duration of your program, as well as full-time employment opportunities upon completion. In addition to working with real-world clients in the Capstone course, students meet with faculty to discuss their connections and lay the groundwork for life-long career development and advancement. Emerson faculty are legendary in their commitment to working individually with students to help them explore career opportunities, make connections, and enrich their classroom learning. Trips to New York and Boston agencies, corporations and not-for-profit organizations help students explore the possibilities.
Your Graduate Program Director, Bill Anderson, will serve as your primary faculty advisor, guiding you on course selection to ensure that you are on the path toward achieving your learning objectives and on track to satisfy the program requirements. Your program director will work with you one-on-one to build a custom curriculum tailored to suit your education needs and set you up for success for your capstone project. You will also receive program and department news from your program director along with any on- and off-campus opportunities that might be of interest to you.
