Library Instruction

Mission Statement

Our goal is to work with faculty to promote rigorous academic inquiry and lifelong learning by helping students find, evaluate, select, and use information sources. We work with faculty and instructors to design unique instruction sessions, create online learning tools, and develop meaningful research assignments.

Requesting a Library Class

Check the Instruction Calendar to see the schedule of library sessions.

Use the Library Instruction Session Request form to request assignment-based library instruction. To ensure a successful session, please submit requests at least two weeks in advance. Be prepared to send us your syllabus and any relevant assignments. Upon receipt of your request, a librarian will contact you to further discuss your class needs and confirm time and location.
