Production Labs

The Production Computer Labs at Emerson College are specialized classroom environments and workspaces that are specially equipped for the curricular needs of specific academic departments. These labs are primarily for the use of their respective departments.
Newsroom The Newsroom is a Broadcast Journalism classroom lab. It is equipped with Avid Newscutter for editing video for news broadcasts.

Digital Production Lab 1 is a New Media classroom lab used chiefly for Visual and Media Arts classes. The lab is outfitted for digital video editing, audio editing, and web and CD-ROM development.

DPL1
DPL2 Digital Production Lab 2 is a Visual and Media Arts classroom equipped for web development, audio editing, and digital video editing.

The Video Editing Lab is a digital video workspace for film students. It hosts 11 Power Mac G5 workstations with Final Cut Pro Studio video editing software.

CAD The Computer-Aided Design Lab is a part of the Theatre Design and Technology Studio. This lab consists of 6 Windows XP workstations optimized for drafting. The CAD Lab also has specialized printers to support the design and technology curriculum.
