Maureen Dezell is a journalist, author and veteran Boston newspaper reporter with wide-ranging experience and interests. She covered arts, culture and boldface names for the Boston Globe, Boston politics and urban life for the Boston Phoenix, and politics and health care for Boston Business Journal.

An independent writer and editor who specializes in arts, culture and health care, Dezell is currently content developer for Boston-based new media startup.

Author of the critically acclaimed Irish America: Coming Into Clover (Doubleday/Anchor, 2002) and the recently released The Everything® Health Guide to Alzheimer's Disease: A reassuring, informative guide for families and caregivers (F+W Media, October 2009), she is a freelance contributor to a range of print and online media including The New York Times, The New Republic, ARTnews, artsboston.org and "The Boston Channel."
