Laurie Ruskin, Of Counsel with Sweder & Ross LLP,  is a media lawyer and business litigator with a passion for First Amendment and journalism law.  She has represented reporters facing defamation and privacy claims, as well as other newsgathering issues including pre-publication and pre-broadcast counseling.  She also has counseled authors, documentary filmmakers and musicians with respect to copyright, publishing agreements, etc.  In a previous life, before becoming an attorney, Ms. Ruskin was an educator with extensive experience in curriculum development including designing experiential programs, simulation games and multi-media events for summer camps and other informal educational settings.
