Maintenance of Legal F-1 Student Status

1. Keep your passport valid at least six months into the future.
2. Pursue a full course of study (see faculty advisor).
3. Keep your I-20 valid, and endorsed in advance for travel.
4. Follow specific procedures for transfer, change of program or degree level, and program extension.
5. Do not work on or off-campus without authorization.
6. Work no more than 20 hours per week during the academic year with authorization.
