Programs
The Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies is the home of the Honors Program, the New Pathways “Learning Communities” Program, and the Office of Service Learning and Community Action. These programs share a common recognition that Emerson students bring a diversity of talents and interests to the classroom and that their educational experience extends well beyond the boundaries of the lecture hall or seminar. Whether through Honors colloquia, residential learning communities, or internship placements in local schools or community organizations, Institute programs aim to cultivate principles of academic excellence, innovative and critical thinking, and the responsibility of ethical commitment and choice.
