Assistant Manager, Film Soundstage Facilities, Paramount Center
Description:
Reporting to the ¬Manager, Soundstage Facilities, the Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily afternoon and evening operation and maintenance of the film soundstage facilities in support of the academic program and co-curricular organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate schedules of facilities
- Supervising part-time student staff
- Vending of Paramount Center equipment used in productions; coordinating Equipment Distribution Center (EDC) equipment to be transported to and from the Paramount Center
- Train student and faculty users to safely operate all soundstage equipment; ensuring training is consistent with established industry and College curricular standards
- Conduct technical/operational workshops on various film production processes and associated services in order that various academic and co-curricular productions can be produced using the facilities' professional equipment
- Troubleshoot issues in all soundstage facilities; providing technical and advisory support to VMA production classes in the Paramount Center; serving as resource expert recommending production options to faculty and students; coordinating repairs to facilities and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree; degree in film production preferred.
- Two to four years proven experience in all aspects of the film production process.
- At least one year of previous assistant managerial experience in a directly-related field strongly desired.
- Familiarity with film cameras and grip equipment, familiarity with Macintosh and Windows operating systems, hardware and associated peripherals.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and performing base level maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work in a high demand and fast-paced academic environment.
- Must possess the ability to relate well to faculty and student needs.
