Compensation
The Office of Human Resources and Affirmative Action is pleased to announce the completion of the staff compensation study. The study was conducted over the past few months in partnership with Mercer, an independent consulting firm. The goal of the study was to ensure our staff compensation program is competitive and transparent, and is easy to understand.
As a result of the study, we are introducing:
- A compensation system that is designed to help us attract, motivate and retain staff
- A new market competitive salary structure with eight broad salary grades
- Guides to help managers understand how jobs are placed into these grades
- New job descriptions for most positions
