The Office of Housing and Residence Life (OHRL)

The Office of Housing and Residence Life is located in 80 Boylston Street, suite 125. Here you will find the Assistant Dean of Housing and Residence Life, the Assistant Director of Residence Life, the Assistant Director of Housing Operations and the Staff Assistant. The Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The OHRL maintains all housing records including room assignments, contracts, room selection information and residence-life judicial documentation, and has overall responsibility for Housing and Residential Life services and programs.

Residence Director (RD)

The RDs are trained professional staff members who are responsible for the overall supervision of the Housing and Residence Life program in their hall. The RDs have training in counseling, mediation and conflict resolution, judicial affairs, programming and other related disciplines. The RDs act as advisors, respond to emergency situations, administer judicial cases, mediate conflicts, advise hall council and supervise the Resident Assistants (RAs) and mail/front desk operations. Make an effort to get to know your RD, as he/she is willing and able to enhance the quality of community living in your hall and encourage your growth and development as an individual.

Your RD maintains scheduled office hours within the residence hall and is available to talk to you about problems or concerns you may be experiencing. The RD is also available if your RA is unable to assist you in a matter.
