Vacation housing

During the academic year, the residence halls close for Thanksgiving and Spring Break, but one residence hall will remain open for residents who need to remain on campus. Only students with extenuating circumstances (travel difficulties, working for the College, etc.) may apply to remain on campus during those break periods.

Please note that there is no vacation housing available:

  • between the Fall and Spring semesters (Winter Break)
  • between the close of Spring semester and Summer Session I
  • between the close of Summer Session II and the start of the Fall semester

Thanksgiving Break

Residence halls will close on Wednesday, November 25 at 12:00 pm and will reopen on Sunday, November 29 at 12:00 pm. Be sure to follow the Hall Closing Procedures carefully.

Applications for Thanksgiving Break housing are now available:

Students must submit a completed application and a $56.00 fee no later than Friday, November 20. Students will be contacted no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, November 23 regarding their application status in vacation housing.

In order for us to maintain security within the halls and keep the front desk open, students who remain on campus will be hired and trained as desk receptionists as a condition of their break housing contract. All students staying for Thanksgiving Break are required to attend a desk training meeting on Wednesday, November 25 at 12:00 pm.

Spring Break

Applications for Spring Break (along with a nominal fee) become available in mid-February and are also due a week prior to the halls closing.
