Summer Housing 2009

Summer housing at Emerson is for continuing, matriculated undergraduate and graduate students. Housing is available for both summer sessions in the 80 Boylston Street residence hall. The Summer Housing Application must be submitted to the Office of Housing and Residence Life with payment confirmation.

Individuals not enrolled at Emerson College, but seeking summer housing, should contact Business Services (Summer Conferences) to inquire about housing at 617.824.8554.

There is no on-campus housing available for students between the close of spring semester, Tuesday May 19, 2009, and move in for Summer Session I, Monday, May 25, 2009, or between close of Summer Session II, Saturday August 15, 2009, and the opening of the Fall 2009 semester. Students must make alternate arrangements for housing during those periods.

Summer Session II
Check-In Sunday, July 5, 12-4 p.m.
Classes Begin Monday, July 6
Classes End Friday, August 14
Check-Out Saturday, August 15, 10a.m.-12p.m.

Please note: There is no housing for students between spring semester closing and May 25, or between August 15 and opening for Fall 2009.

The cost for only a room, for each six-week session, is as follows:

Single Occupancy Room $1,782
Double Occupancy Room $1,458
Triple Occupancy Room $1,104
Quad* Occupancy Room $876

* There is only one quad occupancy room available for Summer Housing. Quad room placement is dependent upon availability.

There will not be a meal plan offered during Summer Session I. However, there may be a meal plan available, for separate purchase, during Summer Session II, and the dining hall may be open on a cash basis during portions of the summer. Specific times and costs will be posted.

Summer housing is scheduled to be in the Little Building; it is SMOKE FREE.

There is VERY LIMITED storage available between the end of the Spring semester and the start of Summer Session I. There is NO STORAGE between the end of Summer Session II and the opening of Fall 2009. You will receive details about storage options with your housing assignment letter. Please use the storage dates provided as you schedule your move from the residence halls.
