New Residents
All incoming freshmen, beginning in the fall of 2009, will be required to live on campus for their freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
Incoming students apply for and are awarded housing through the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Once accepted, students will receive a letter and a reply form from the Admissions office. To apply for housing, students will simply check off the box stating that they wish to apply for on campus housing on the reply form.Students must also submit a $500 deposit ($300 is applied as a residence hall deposit and $200 goes towards the tuition deposit) to ensure that a space will be reserved. To retain the housing reservation, the student’s account must remain in good standing, meaning that all bills are paid on time and appropriate steps have been taken to notify Student Financial Services of any aid, loans, grants, etc.
Incoming undergraduate students will be mailed a guide from the Office of Housing in late July that will include the following:- Placement letter: information about where you're living and your roommate(s)/suitemates
- Check-in times and move-in information
- Hall opening and closing dates
- A parking placard for move-in
If you have questions about this process, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 617-824-8600 or the Office of Housing and Residence Life at 617-824-8620.
