Housing and Residence Life
What We Do
The Office of Housing and Residence Life (OHRL) coordinates and manages on-campus residence hall accommodations. All students living in the residence halls are required to sign a room and board contract for the full academic year. Students are obligated to fulfill their full year commitment unless they are graduating from the College mid-year.
The Office of Housing and Residence Life maintains all housing records. Questions regarding contracts and records should be directed to the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
In addition, the Office of Housing and Residence Life is the place to go if you want to place your name on the single room waiting list, petition for an exemption from your contract, learn more about the Residence Hall Association, find out about Resident Assistant positions, or if you have any questions or concerns about on-campus housing.
Each residence hall is staffed by a professional Residence Director and by upperclass students serving as Resident Assistants. Questions or concerns about the residence hall, or life within the hall, may be brought directly to the Director of the Residence Hall. Residence Directors maintain an office within their assigned hall.
Mission Statement
The Office of Housing and Residence Life provides a safe and comfortable living environment focused on providing a living/learning community supporting a student's intellectual, emotional, and social development and growth. Community members are challenged to take individual responsibility in a setting that is open, respectful, disciplined, and appreciative of its diversity.
