Honors Program

"An Intellectual and Creative Exchange"

As Director of the Honors Program, I have the privilege of advising and mentoring an exceptional group of students. From their arrival on campus during Orientation Week, Honors Program students display an inner sense of direction and responsibility as well as intellectual engagement in their chosen fields of study.

Honors Program faculty members speak of their students' ability to rise to the intellectual challenges offered to them, to explore available academic and professional resources fully, and finally, to set and meet their own goals in seminars and theses/projects. Because they approach learning in an interdisciplinary manner, Honors Program students easily establish connections between one course and another, and synthesize their learning process across different disciplines.

As exemplified by the work during their Senior year, Honors Program students look for intellectual challenge and depth while engaging in either research or creative projects. Because they are driven, creative individuals who have learned to work within a close-knit community, Honors Program students share a confidence in their ability to be leaders at Emerson College and in their professional careers.

Students interested in applying to the Honors Program should contact the Office of Admission at (617) 824-8600 or admission@emerson.edu.
