Important Security Notice
Microsoft Corporation released a security advisory regarding a bug in a Microsoft Web Components ActiveX control that could expose computers to malicious code. Even if you are up-to-date with Windows Update patches, you are still vulnerable to this exploit.
The I.T. Help Desk strongly encourages all Microsoft Windows users to download the patch directly from Microsoft.
Please note, this vulnerability does not affect Macintosh OS X users. If you are running Windows on your Macintosh, you will need to patch.
