You must submit ALL required documentation by the required deadline to be considered for need-based assistance:

  1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Form
Must be received and processed by the Federal Processor before the deadline. Our FAFSA school code is 002146.
  2. CSS PROFILE Application
You may complete this application as early as October 1 with CSS. CSS will transmit the data to Emerson College as long as you pay the appropriate fees. Our school CSS PROFILE code is 3367.
  3. Signed copies of parent(s) 2011 federal tax returns, including all schedules and W2's.
  4. Signed copies of student's 2011 federal tax returns, including all schedules.
  5. Any additional documentation requested by the Office of Financial Aid.
  6. Additional documentation to submit, if applicable:
  • If your family derives/loses income from a business or farm:
Please submit a signed, completed copy of the business's most recent tax return. Examples include: a Schedule C for sole proprietorship; U.S. Income Tax Return for S-Corporation; U.S. Return of Partnership Income; and U.S. Corporation Income Tax Return. These federal returns need to be signed and must include all pages, schedules, and K-1s.

NOTE: While applicants to the College are not required to provide their Social Security number on their application, please be aware that omitting your Social Security number could delay the processing of your financial aid file. This is because federal financial aid processes use your Social Security number as a record identifier. A match on name, Social Security number, and date of birth is preferred to determine eligibility.

Please contact our office if you choose to exclude your Social Security number on your application for admission to the College.
