KASTEEL Well Application
-
The Application for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 will be available beginning wednesday, October 1, 2008, at 12 am.
- Application Deadlines. Admission is on a rolling basis. Applications will be considered and acted upon in the order in which they are received. Applicants should receive decisions by mail within one month of submission. We strongly recommend that students submit applications approximately one year in advance of expected attendance. Please note: Applicants who've successfully submitted their application will immediately receive a copy via e-mail. If you do not receive a copy of your application via return e-mail you should assume it was NOT submitted successfully, and you must submit the application again.
- Qualifications. Students must be in good academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and have no social sanctions against them. Preference will be given to those students with a 2.5 or higher grade point average.
- Program Deposit. Upon approval to attend, a non-refundable and nontransferable program deposit of $300 is required. Spaces are not held for applicants, even approved applicants, without a confirmation deposit.
- Room and Board. Housing is mandatory. Students are housed in single, double, triple and quad rooms. Rooms are assigned according to seniority. There is also a mandatory 14-meal-per-week food plan. A $50 security deposit is required.
- New Freshmen: The computer will automatically upload your academic information when you begin the application. After the conclusion of the fall term applications will be reviewed and that information updated by International Study and External Programs staff.
- New Transfers: The computer will automatically upload your academic information when you begin the application.
- Applicants may apply for one term only. Applying for both terms at the same time is not allowed.
- Tip for Successful Completion of Application: Write your written statement in a simple word processing program such as TextEdit on a Mac or WordPad on a PC, and cut and paste it into the online application form. In the unlikely event your application is lost during transmission, you won't have to re-write your statement.
| Attention Non-U.S., NON-E.U. Applicants: In order to pursue a course of study in the Netherlands at an institution of higher education, you need to maintain an appropriate immigration status. Due to recent and more strict application of Dutch immigration rules, non-U.S. and non-E.U. citizens have encountered difficulties obtaining the required Authorization for Temporary Stay {Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf, or MVV} from the Netherlands. There is no guarantee during this period that the MVV will be approved by the Dutch government. MVV applications must be submitted approximately 9 months in advance.) Please consult with David Griffin, Director of International Study and External Programs, or the Dutch Consulate in the U.S. or in your home country for further information, requirements and procedures. |
